Make-A-Wish Nebraska

Goal: $30,000.00

Specific Need

Currently in Nebraska we have over 160 children waiting for wishes. In Seward county alone, we have three critically ill children that are medically qualified to receive a wish. The average cost of a wish is $10,000.00, so our goal is to raise $30,000.00 for these three children. We rely on the good people of our communities to support our mission and our wish kids.

Profile

Make-A-Wish has the unique ability to transform a child’s life during some of their most difficult times, as a wish creates an opportunity for hope and the ability to experience life beyond their illness. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope. Wishes help kids look past the limitations of their illness. Most importantly, wishes can improve a child's quality of life, giving them a better chance of recovering.

Wishes usually fall into one of four categories: I wish go, I wish to be, I wish to have, and I wish to meet. In an effort to alleviate any possible stress on the family, Make-A-Wish covers all expenses related to making the wish come true. On average, a wish costs $10,000.

Currently, Make-A-Wish Nebraska has 155 wishes in progress, and we need the community’s support now more than ever. We are asking the community to rally around our local wish kids to help raise critical funds that will ensure their wishes can be granted as soon as possible. We know that together, we can do extraordinary things.
