Profile

This project has proven to be an extraordinary example of collaboration of an extraordinary number of people contributing time, talent, and resources to build a lasting legacy for their community!  The concrete foundation has been poured and we anticipate relocating the cabin this spring.  A huge amount of land preparation has been completed readying the site and we were very blessed to receive this expertise and work.  A family has donated and had installed a Nebraska Historical Marker, for visitors to view, and volunteers have established a pollinator garden.  This group will continue to consult with experts and the Nebraska Game & Park Commission, and well as History Nebraska as we continue to move forward in creating the Seward Blue River Historical District.   We have accomplished a lot this past year including getting, utilities from the road up to the red building, in the last week getting the log cabin moved to the site, and working with The Nebraska Arboretum & Andy Hartmann to plan for native landscaping.
